Biography

James Miller graduated in 2019 from Saint Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts in art and design and holds certification in hospitality management from Hilton Hotels. From 2020 to 2023, Miller served as the client services manager at The Hub, overseeing a large federal work-study student workforce.

He has over 20 years of graphic design, technology sales, hospitality management and non-profit leadership experience. In his role at Saint Xavier University, Miller serves as the associate director of employer engagement and internships, where he provides direction regarding career readiness, internship opportunities, and global engagement. Miller is an active member of NACE, NetVue and NCDA and represents SXU at employer engagement networking groups.

In addition to these responsibilities, Miller serves as staff council president, leading a team of 18 passionate staff members invested in improving the lives and performance of all who call Saint Xavier University their work home.

In his spare time, Miller is an artist, loves riding his bike and fishing with his sons, and is an avid mechanical keyboard enthusiast and tech writer. He serves as an ideation fellow at Thoughtly Crew, a for-profit think tank in Chicago.
